The beginning · 2013

It began with a single post.

Patina was founded in 2013 by Tim Joslyn, who saw what the classic car world was missing: not another listings site, but a home. Somewhere the history, the knowledge and the people could sit in one place.

It started, fittingly, on a simple blog — one post, one clear idea about what a classic car community could be. That idea drew people in, and Patina grew into exactly the kind of place its founder imagined.

Patina is now led by Mark Livesey and Niels Busink, the team behind THE MARKET — the UK online auction house that has handled hundreds of the country's most interesting classic cars. They know the community Patina was built for because they are part of it.
